About Sara Safety Solutions

Sara Safety Solutions was established by me in 2010 and since then I have been a key provider of food safety training.
In recognising the change in how people learn, my training delivery has now evolved to be accessible via e-learning.
It’s still me, Sara delivering the training but i'm within video. I’m presenting for the first time from the kitchen as well as the classroom bringing an engaging and most of all supportive delivery.


By joining me on one or more of the courses you can gain knowledge and skills giving you the confidence to fulfill your food handling role. The training courses are delivered against an appropriate industry led syllabus and I am a qualified Environmental Health Practitioner with 10 years training experience.

All of the courses conform to accepted guidelines. The learning outcomes are available for you to see prior to choosing the course.
Your certificates on completion are instant and digital and do not have an expiry date but it is recognised good practice in the food industry to refresh such training every 3 years. Your certificates will therefore have a recommended renewal date on them.

I also specialise in course delivery to persons with learning difficulties or disabilities. The approach I adopt is one that enables all learners to access a food safety course content regardless of their circumstances. I have substantive experience with working with persons with difficulties and disabilities and also those who have barriers to employment or confidence loss. The Essentials of Food Hygiene is aimed specifically at persons with learning disabilities and communication challenges. All of the other courses are also delivered in a relaxed style.

About me

Graduating with a BSc in Catering Administration I entered the NHS initially as a Catering Manager and then as a Senior Buyer for food provisions. I gained additional qualifications and secured a role within Environmental Health. I worked as a Food Safety Inspector for some years before moving over to occupational health and safety inspection. Among my qualifications I hold the IFST Higher Certificate in Food Inspection and the NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health. I am a Chartered Safety & Health Practitioner.

I have spent considerable time working within both disciplines. Apart from within Environmental Health I was a Business Development Manager for a large operational food service and I worked within a defence organisation as the Safety Specialist Team Leader. I hold SC Clearance and have a current DBS.

Both my qualifications and experience have enabled me to deliver professional, meaningful, enjoyable training courses that people reportedly feel have been of value. Apart from delivering training I also work (or have worked) as an Internal and External Quality Assurer of training courses delivered by training providers & awarding bodies and overseen by qualification regulators.
